If you are accessing The Learning Zone as a customer of TNG or InBiz, please refer any queries to staff at your local centre.
We regret that we are unable to offer support by telephone. All support is provided via staff at TNG or InBiz Centres throughout the UK
Before requesting assistance, there are a few things you may want to check:
Registration
The Learning Zone Platform has a self-registration process. Simply click on 'Registration' from the right hand menu and follow the instructions. Please note that the email address you enter is the one where all communication will be sent. By clicking on 'Manage my Courses' you can see the range of courses available. Some of these you can subscribe to with a single click. In most cases, your TNG or InBiz Tutor or Learning Adviser will subscribe you to appropriate courses. Ask for details at your local centre. [Sub-contractors of TNG and InBiz may also have this ability].
Flash and Acrobat
Some courses require the Adobe FLASH PLAYER and notes are often provided in PDF format which requires the Adobe Acrobat Reader. Both these programs are already on most modern PCs. If for some reason they have been removed, you can download and install them from www.adobe.com in just a couple of minutes.
IMPORTANT - TNG & InBiz Clients: If you are accessing the platforms through PCs at TNG or InBiz centres these should already have the appropriate software. In case of difficulty, please report this to staff at your local centre and not via The Learning Zone.
Sound
Make sure that the sound on your PC is enabled and that the speakers are switched on. You may find it easier to use headphones to help you to concentrate and to avoid upsetting other users.
Running e-Learning on Laptops and old PCs
Most e-learning is optimised to run on screens with a resolution of 1024 x 768. Some small screen laptops and old PCs may be set to less than this. Ideally, try to complete courses on a fast PC with a 17 inch monitor at least.
Browsers
Courses should run well in ALL browsers. However, some browsers (including Internet Explorer) have so many user-customisable options that your browser may be set to block some programs. If in doubt, try re-setting the browser to its default settings.
Popups
Your browser may also be set to block popups. If you run an additional search bar such as Google, then this may also block pop-ups. (Double protection). Look for the yellow bar at the top of the browser to unblock pop-ups.
Lost Password
If you lose your password, just click on 'Lost Password' on the front of the site - enter your email address and the system will send you your login details.
