It can be difficult taking the first steps back into work if you’ve been unemployed for a while. There’s a lot of help out there but you want to know that it’s individually tailored to your needs.

The TNG Approach

At TNG, the approach is a very flexible one to help you achieve success, whatever your needs, background, circumstances or age.  This is presented as Job Activity Coaching (JAC); a mixture of support, encouragement, training and actually helping you to find a job.

If you've been out of work for a while you may be worried that your skills are out of date the JAC programme is for you.  You’ll get help to decide what training you need, whether you need to brush up your reading and writing or learn to use the latest computer technology.

The AskJAC web site at www.askjac.com is designed to support this programme by providing access to unique resources including useful downloads and online activities.  The site also contains a useful ‘Factfile’, glossary and job search web links.

AskJAC allows you to search a directory of courses to find out what’s available in The Learning Zone.  If you’re a customer of TNG, all the courses in The Learning Zone are free of charge to you.  Just ask your Personal Job Adviser or Tutor.

If you’re not a TNG customer, you can still self-register by clicking on ‘Register’ from the menu on the right.
